Yeetlist privacy

What is stored, and where
Your list lives in your own browser, in local storage on your device. It is not sent anywhere, and there is no account and no database behind this app.
Google Drive
Connecting Drive is optional. It exists so one list can be read on more than one device. If you connect it:
- The app asks for drive.file, the narrowest scope Google offers. It grants access to files this app itself creates, and to nothing else in your Drive.
- One file is written, holding your list. You can open it, move it or delete it like any other file you own.
- The sign-in token is held in a cookie on your device so the connection survives a reload. Disconnecting removes it.
- No Drive content is copied anywhere else, and none is read by anyone but you.
YouTube
When you paste a link, the address alone is sent to YouTube's public API to fetch the title, the channel and the duration. Nothing about you is sent with it, and nothing about the request is kept.
Ads
Yeetlist shows Google ads: AdMob in the Android app and AdSense on the website. Google may use cookies and your device's advertising ID to show and measure ads, and may personalise them where you allow it. Where the law asks, you are asked first, and you can change your answer at any time. Google's own policy covers this: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
The ad-free subscription
Removing ads costs $1 a year, paid through Google Play. Yeetlist never sees your payment details. It receives a purchase token from Play and saves it in your own synced file, so your other devices and the website can ask Google Play whether the subscription is still active. The server checks the token with Google and keeps nothing.
The browser extension
The Yeetlist extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox saves the page you are on, a link or some selected text, only when you press its button or pick it from the right-click menu. It hands that one address or text to yeetlist.app in your own browser, which stores it in your list as above. It reads nothing else from your pages, keeps only your tag names for its suggestions, and sends nothing to anyone.
What is not collected
- No analytics and no tracking pixels of Yeetlist's own. The ads above are Google's, under Google's policy.
- No name, email address or contacts, beyond the Google sign-in you choose to grant.
- No data is sold. Yeetlist itself shares nothing with anybody.
Removing everything
Clearing the site data for this app removes the list from the device. Disconnecting Drive revokes the token, and deleting the file it wrote removes the copy there. Both are complete: nothing survives elsewhere.
